House Dance is a style that emerged alongside the rise of house music in the U.S. during the '80s. It grew out of a mix of influences, dancers took elements from all kinds of styles and started moving to house beats. Think tap, African dance, Latin vibes, martial arts, hip hop, b-boying, and classic jazz dance all blending into something new. (Dutch below)

At the heart of House are what we call foundations, core steps borrowed from these diverse styles. But House isn’t really about nailing perfect moves. It’s about feeling the music and expressing that feeling through your body. It's a freestyle dance style known for fast footwork, a steady groove, and letting go.
